Frequently Asked Questions

What do I wear to Prom?
Prom attire is a step up in formal attire than Homecoming. Traditionally, students wear a suit and tie or a long evening gown.

Where do I park for Prom?
The most convenient parking lot is the Pike Place Market garage, with entrances at 1531 Western Ave, 1901 Western Ave, and 1530 Alaskan Way. If you arrive at their lot after 5:00, parking will be $8. The lot is open until 2:00am. There are other lots along the Seattle Waterfront as well.

Will there be pictures at Prom?
No, there will not be formal pictures at Prom. However, the outdoor piers at the Aquarium are going to be fantastic for sunset pictures with Puget Sound as the backdrop, so prepare for great selfies! There will also be plenty of chaperones and friends willing to take pictures for attendees.

Will there be a security check?
Yes. This is a school event so school rules still apply.

When will tickets go on sale?
Tickets will be available for sale from May 8 through Thursday, May 22 at 2 p.m. TICKETS WILL NOT BE FOR SALE AT THE EVENT. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased from the bookkeeper’s office or through the school’s online system.

Will I receive a physical ticket after I purchase it?
No. A list of student names of those who have purchased tickets will be at the door and checked off upon arrival at the dance.

What if I should receive a discounted price for my ticket?
When you log onto the pay online system, the website will know that you are to receive a discounted ticket. Your price will be reduced from the normal price. Even if the price is $0, you must still go onto the pay online system or to the ASB Bookkeeper’s office to purchase your ticket.

How many guests may I invite?
Each LHS senior may invite only one guest. That guest can be a non-senior at LHS, or someone who doesn’t attend LHS. Your guest must be at least in 9th grade, and under 21 years old.

What if I need to purchase a ticket for my guest who attends LHS but is not a senior?
Provided you answer the four additional required questions when you purchase your ticket, a fee will be added to your LHS guest’s student account on the next school day for their prom ticket. Your guest will need to go online or to the ASB Bookkeeper’s office to purchase their own ticket.

What if I need to purchase a ticket for my guest who does not currently attend LHS?
If you are inviting a guest who does not currently attend LHS, then you will need to complete a Guest Pass form, available from the form boxes on the wall near the Attendance Secretary’s window, or can be printed out online from the LHS Website. Each LHS senior may invite only one guest. Once you have completed the Guest Pass form (including all signatures and photos of IDs), please return it to the main office. The form will be reviewed by your assistant principal, and either approved or not. If not, you will be contacted for additional information. When/if the Guest Pass form is approved, a fee will then be assessed to your account for your guest’s ticket (assuming you have already purchased your own ticket). You must then go online or to the ASB Bookkeeper’s office to pay for your guest’s ticket. Guest Pass forms must be turned into the main office no later than the morning of Wednesday, May 21st.
