Most colleges require applicants to write personal essays, answer questions, and/or describe extracurriculars and honors as part of the application. These writing sections allow you to personalize your college application beyond grades and scores. Your written answers should reveal new and interesting information about you, as opposed to repeating information from other parts of your application.
