LHS Rotary Male and Female Athletes of the Year
Please join us in recognizing two of our outstanding seniors, Ben Archer and Julianne Crutchfield. They will be honored as the LHS Rotary Male and Female Athletes of the Year Tuesday, April 25.
Matt Stuart and Danielle Zelinski were excited to nominate Ben Archer on behalf of Liberty’s Athletic Department. “Ben is a 3 sport athlete at Liberty that competes in Cross Country, Swim, and Track. Ben served as captain for the Cross Country team and is also a captain for the Track & Field team. He has earned two varsity letters in Cross Country as a Junior and a Senior as well as two varsity letters in Track & Field as a Junior and a Senior. He competed in the 2022 WIAA State Cross Country meet this past fall and has a goal of doing the same this spring for Track. Ben has a high cumulative GPA and takes multiple AP classes. Ben has received an academic scholarship to Baylor University. Ben’s coaches say he is a very good teammate and well-rounded individual that works extremely hard. He is a true competitor and fantastic athlete.”

They note, “Julianne is a 2 sport athlete at Liberty that competes in Gymnastics and Golf. Julianne has earned four varsity letters in golf as a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior as well as a varsity letter in Gymnastics as a Senior. She competed in the 2023 WIAA State Gymnastics meet this past winter. She has made the District Golf Tournament and has a goal of making state in golf this spring. Julianne is a part-time running start student at Bellevue College and has a high cumulative GPA while taking AP classes as well. Julianne’s coaches say she has a great attitude and works extremely hard. She has a very high commitment level to the sports she competes in and is a superb competitor.”
