Senior Xello Lessons are due January 31st
This is a reminder that your 12th Grade Xello lessons are due January 31, 2025. You only need to complete two tasks on your Xello To-Do list:

1. Senior Resume
2. Response to Senior Exit Question #1

That’s all—you do not need to finish any other old tasks from previous years.

Right now, only 25% of seniors have finished these items. If you haven’t yet, please try to get them done before winter break.

To access Xello, just sign in to ClassLink and open Xello: https://launchpad.classlink.com/issaquah

Also, a friendly reminder that Senior Exit Interviews will be on Wednesday, March 19th, 2025, in the Liberty Library: 8-10am (last name A-L) and 3-5pm (last name M-Z).

See our LHS College & Career Center Website for more info about either Xello or the Senior Exit Interview: https://liberty.isd411.org/student-life/college-and-career-center/during-high-school/high-school-beyond-plan

Questions About WAGAP (the Washington Guaranteed Admission Program)?

  • What is it: WAGAP, or the Washington Guaranteed Admissions Program, is a program that guarantees admission to eligible students for six of Washington State's public four-year colleges and universities (WWU, EWU, CWU, WSU, UW-Tacoma, and Evergreen State)
  • How does a student qualify?: To be eligible, students must be from a participating high school (all ISD high schools participate) and meet two main criteria: a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and completion of all College Academic Distribution Requirements (CADRs) by the time they graduate.
  • Does a student need to enroll in the WAGAP program in order to participate?

No, students don’t need to enroll – they simply need to apply to a participating college (all WA state colleges use the Common App, which makes it easy to apply!)

  • What if a student doesn’t have a 3.0+ gpa?: If a student doesn’t have a 3.0 or higher gpa, they should still consider applying to those colleges, but they need to understand that they aren’t guaranteed acceptance.

HOBY Youth Leadership Seminar for Sophomores 2026

Sophomores, you have the opportunity to attend the HOBY Leadership Seminar being held at a Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon on June 19th-21st, 2026. Students will need to provide transportation to the seminar if selected (HOBY often has a pay-for transportation option which they will let attendees know about closer to the event).

The Kiwanis Club of Issaquah has agreed to sponsor TWO LHS Sophomores.  This includes the student's meals, lodging on a college campus, a t-shirt, and a weekend full of leadership activities.  Again, this does not include transportation to and from the event and students are responsible for their own transportation.

In order to be considered for this opportunity, Sophomores must:

  • Write a brief essay (100 words or less) on this topic: Describe the most rewarding and challenging aspect of being a leader in your school and community
  • Provide a resumé detailing your leadership experience
  • Additionally, the Sophomores chosen to attend the seminar also agree to:
    • Attend a Kiwanis Club of Issaquah meeting in person or via Zoom. Meetings are held on Wednesdays from 12-1pm and students should expect to attend one of the meetings in late June.
    • Provide a short presentation a that meeting, about what they learned at the HOBY seminar and what was their "take away inspiration" by attending the seminar

Please bring your essay with your resumé attached to the College & Career Center (inside the library) by December 10th, 2025.  Winners will be announced before December winter break.
