Financial Assistance
Do you need financial assistance (a scholarship) for fees or fines?
Scholarships can provide support with items such as class fees, assessment fees (ex. PSAT, AP exam), ASB cards, sports fees, athletic season passes (for family members to attend games), drama event tickets, dance tickets, club participation fees, planners (if in stock), field trips, clothing for class performances (ex. choir dresses), and more.
If you qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch and sign/click to give Consent to Disclose Eligibility to District's Local Aid Program (item #7 on the application), when you go online or come to the ASB Bookkeeper’s office to purchase these items, they will show up at a greatly reduced price.
This information is kept strictly confidential and is shared with only the ASB Bookkeeper at LHS. It is not shared with any other staff members, nor with any other organizations or governmental agencies.
There are multiple ways to request assistance for your student at Liberty High School. You may apply for assistance any time during the school year.
Step One
If you have not submitted a free / reduced lunch application, please complete that first. Even if you do not intend to use the free / reduced lunch program, qualifying families will be eligible for additional benefits. You may apply for Free and Reduced Lunch Application online. A blank Free and Reduced Lunch Application form has also been provided in this packet (4 pages). Please make sure to sign/click to give Consent to Disclose Eligibility to District's Local Aid Program (item #7)You may return the paper form (if you choose to not apply online) to the LHS ASB bookkeeper.
If you do not sign/click to Consent to Disclose Eligibility to District's Local Aid Program (item #7), then your eligibility for Free and Reduced Lunch will NOT be shared with Liberty High School (LHS). Therefore LHS will be unable to help you financially with any of the above-mentioned fees (i.e. ASB card, sports participation fee, class fees, etc.). If, however, you do give Consent to Disclose Eligibility to District's Local Aid Program (item #7), that information will be shared with LHS and you will receive many things at reduced or no cost to you. The only person at LHS who this information will be shared with is the ASB Bookkeeper, who will not share it with anyone else (your information is kept confidential).
Step Two
If you have already submitted a free / reduced lunch form and qualified, please complete the Consent to Disclose Eligibility to District's Local Aid Program Form and return it to the LHS ASB bookkeeper.
If you do not sign/click to give Consent to Disclose Eligibility to District's Local Aid Program (item #7), then your eligibility for Free and Reduced Lunch will NOT be shared with Liberty High School (LHS).
Step Three
If you have submitted a free / reduced lunch application and did not qualify, please complete the Scholarship Eligibility Application form and return it to the LHS ASB bookkeeper. This information will be used to determine your child’s eligibility for additional assistance.
Scholarship applications need to be submitted annually.
Please contact your administrator with any questions.
